Although I can't eat these types of things every day, or even once a month, I can drool over my favorites from Buttercup, and Financier.

 

 

Beauty Buys

For those who know me, I'm a total product junkie.  I love trying new shampoo, conditioner, all types of facial products, and I LOVE LOVE makeup even though I don't wear a lot of it.  Here are some of my favorites and more recently purchased splurges, most of which have been influenced by my new triathlete lifestyle.

 

Fekkai's silky straight ironless line

This makeup makes it SO easy.  Ellis Faas' compact makeup container is a quick grab and go and doesn't take up the space that a makeup does.  Color and brush in one slim tube.  How ingenius?

 

 

 

Natura Bisse and Kanebo Sensai have been my go to facial products.  When you have sweat and sunscreen and just overall city dirty sitting on your face for upwards of 4 hours, you need to call in the big guns to do your dirty work.  Clinique and Estee Lauder just weren't getting done.  After many half used facial products, I have fallen in love.

And something I've been waiting to splurge on for a long time....a Mason Pearson hairbrush!

Sailor Chic

There's just something about horizontal stripes that are just so hard to avoid.  Sure, they're supposed to be figure unflattering, but I think if worn right, these nautical inspired tops are very chic.

 

Bouncing to Beantown

I'm very excited about departing NYC tomorrow for a mini weekend up north.  And I'm more excited because I'm going to Jenny and & Joe's wedding, and I get to have a PS sleepover with Ha-Le and Tina  =)  Mental flashback to college time  ;)

On the downside I won't be racing with the rest of Team Chapstick in their first triathlon, the Doc & Sok.  Good luck girls!  I know you'll kick some ass!!  ;)

Toast to the Children 2010

Last night's event was positively spectacular!  The food...WOW!  Check out the awesome food from our featured restaurants this year:  Blue Smoke, Boqueria, Collicchio & Sons, Craft, Double Crown, Graffiti, Hearth, Pearl Oyster Bar, Peasant, Perilla, Porchetta, Public and Tabla.  Jonathan Benno, the former chef du cusine at Per Se, will be cooking from the menu of his new restaurant, now under construction in the plaza of Lincoln Center.

And what would a charity event be without its celebrity guests?  Welcome to Tom Collichio, Uma Thurman, and Cat Greenleaf!!

 

Hats off to our decorating committee for making Gotham Hall look even better than ever.

 

 

 

The amazing food and wines provided by our generous vineyards and restaurants.

 

 

 

 

Lastly, but definitely not least, this wouldn't be a charity event worth it's stuff if we didn't have an amazing plethera of silent auction items where all of the proceeds go to Children of Bellevue.  Here are some of my favorites:
