EmersonMade Clothing

I was inspired by Escapade's post on EmersonMade clothing line and I was driven to check it out. Of course I fell in love with most of the items and have been "forced" to add some more classic pieces to my wardrobe. I anxiously await the unveiling of the rest of the line and anticipate it will be another one of my go to designers.

Cape Cod

I've had a love affair with the Cape since I was a little girl and we'd go visit my grandma in South Dennis in the summer. That love affair continued into my teenage years when I'd go up for a week with two of my girlfriends and we'd camp out in her back yard and ride our bikes to and from the beaches.

Thankfully I'm with a guy who loves the Cape as much as I do, if not more and I've taken my love affair northwards to Wellfleet and Provincetown.

Spending a week on the sandy dunes, in the ocean water, and just breathing the relaxed atmosphere makes me want out of the hectic life of NYC. However, when I get back, breathe the smog, feel the life, and ride the subway, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Not IF you'll get injured, but a matter of WHEN

So this timing is just really pitiful. I have compressed nerves right around my hip/glute area that is causing an immense amount of pain when I cycle. Major bummer because I was really looking forward to clocking some really long rides this upcoming week on the cape. I'll have to play it by ear, but the NYC Tri is right around the corner and I need to keep up some mild fitness until then.

On another note, I'll be spending the holiday weekend and the week following on Cape Cod. Cold ocean, sand dunes, and salt air here I come! And what're you all doing for this beautiful long weekend?
