The last few months, really since August, have been hell for me at work. I took a job, despite being hesitant, because I thought it was the right opportunity and I thought it was time to move on. Boy was I wrong! I stepped into an awful situation and really came out of it learning what I need in order to thrive and succeed at the workplace.
A few things I learned:
- Culture, function, monetary and intangible benefits are all things you need to figure out before going into a new opportunity and weigh them accordingly
- If it doesn't feel right in your gut, it won't work out
- It's better to cut your losses and get out than to stick it out and cost you and your employer more time and money
Today I started a new opportunity and I feel amazing about it. I believe in what we're doing, I understand the market, and it feels good deep down inside <3
