{Shopaholic: Rolex}

I've been looking into buying myself a watch with money that my grandmother left me when she passed away.  It was going to be a 30th birthday present to myself since she wouldn't be around to give me one.

For YEARS I'd been looking into a Cartier Tank, a la Jackie O and numerous other leading women.  It just has this amazingly classic look to it.

However, when I started my search a few weeks ago, I really fell in love with Rolex's datejust in a two tone jubilee band.  For myself, paying the amount of money for a Tank meant that I wanted an automatic watch, not a quartz, since I'm a bit of a watch snob  ;)

Jacki, at Aaron Faber, was essential in helping me find the watch I was looking for in my price range.  She scored me a mid 90's, two tone jubilee with a fluted bezel in the mid 31mm size.  And I LOVE it!  She even found me a few original dials to choose from since a champagne dial wasn't my first choice.  So I scored a silver-toned dial with white hour markers set in 18k gold with a gold crown.  I can't wait to see it in it's final iteration  :)  Just like a custom watch!
