I've been searching high and low, internet, word of mouth, asking my gym rat friends, what's a great balance to working out? I'm trying to get in the best shape of my life, obvi, for the wedding, which is challenging since I've gained a lot of weight since HS and haven't ever been able to keep it off.
Fad diets have worked for me, but have never kept the weight off. I think I lost about 25lbs on Atkins in 2008, but immediately gained it back once I started eating carbs again. Also, your body needs 100g of carb a day for your brain to function optimally. WOW! Who knew?? Guess my brain just wasn't working in the first half of 2008.
I want to be cut and to have defined muscular arms so that my upper body looks amazing in my strapless wedding dress. Bring on the weights and bring on the sweat because I want to look like this!
So what works for you? Light lifting, high reps? Heavy lifting, low reps? Interspersing yoga, core fusion, cardio, zumba, etc?? Tell me your workout plan and why it's right for you!
