Engagement Sesh in Central Park

MES and I were able to schedule with another photographer two Friday's ago before the crazy heatwave in NYC which I'm beyond thrilled about.  Of course the CD with the images come while I'm in London, but here are a few to tide you over until I'm back stateside and can see them all.  Hope you like them as much as I do!

England vs. Italy

I've really embraced being on the other side of the pond; the beer, the pimms o'clock, the fish & chips, and really the most fun, football!  Known to the westerners as soccer  ;)  I had so much fun last night going out with C&P to a local pub and watching the game.  It's CRAZY intense!!  Now I totally get why the world is into this game and I can't wait to find a jersey to take home as a memory of a really fun night.  Too bad England lost, but the amount of hitting and tripping was enough to last me for quite some time.

London bound

Im sitting on my plane waiting for the lightning in Long Island to stop striking near JFK so that we can take off and desperately wishing that I could upload pictures from an iPhone or an iPad to my blog, which alas I can't do. Two hours from midtown to JFK has me convinced that flying from LGA or JFK during the summer months is a complete nightmare! However that's all over now and I can happily say I have entire 3-seat row all to myself for my trip!! I'm looking forward to landing and getting set up on a proper computer so I can share some of my pics that I've already taken with you. I've dusted off my D200 and can't wait to flex my photog skills while abroad. Funnily enough, my old boss will be in London the same time and we're going to meet up on Sunday for lobster omelettes. Stay tuned for some English adventures. Cheerio!

Taking a Walk on the Wild Side

Last week I saw this outfit on young married chic and decided to take a walk on the wild side and invest in some snakeskin other than for my feet and my accessories.  I absolutely love them and can't wait for our next Natty Nosher's dinner to rock the outfit post London.

Happy 4 Years!

4 years ago I met the most amazing guy, amazing because he puts up with my quirky bullshit day in and day out, agreed to live in 400 square feet with me, and asked me to marry him!  Friday the 13th 2008 was a VERY lucky day for me.  I love you honey!  Can't wait to be a Spence too  ;)

{City Living: Bryant Park Movie Night}

One of the things I love most about NYC is that during the summer there's almost always some type of outdoorsy artsy thing you can be doing.  From the philharmonic in Central Park to classic movies in Bryant Park.  Just grab a blanket, a few bottles of wine, some snacks and you're good to go for a romantic casual date to a fun catch up sesh with your gal pals.

I saw this on my way to work this morning and it reminded me of all the movies MES and I went to see in the park our first summer together  =)

{Engagement Shoot FAIL}

I was so excited for my new outfit, my fab makeup done by Sheri, and MES's new shirt to be documented in Central Park for our engagement shots (yes we're closer to our wedding than our engagement at this point, but that's life).  Psyched that I landed a really great deal from LivingSocial for Jessi Shidranski People Photography, I couldn't wait for our engagement shoot in Central Park by all of our favorite haunts.

Then ensues the shit show.  Of course I pick the same day as the Puerto Rican Day Parade and 5th Ave and the east side of the park are shut down.  Needless to say, crazy town in the park!  Jessi was unable to meet with us, ended up canceling our shoot 30 minutes after we were supposed to meet up, and Matt, Sheri and I were left in the park, dolled up and ready to be immortalized being gorgeous.

Upside?  I got a full refund fro LivingSocial and am now on the hunt for an engagement photo in the city who won't be a total flake.

Second upside?  MES and I had our own little photo shoot.
